Dear Potential Sponsor,

Thank you for your interest in the inaugural Texas Invitational Wakeboard Tournament Scheduled for October 9, 10, and 11 at the Texas Ski Ranch, the Tournament promises to be the best collegiate event of the year with the first ever collegiate cable national championships an a competition among the top boat wakeboard teams in the region in a single elimination tournament format. Top collegiate cable riders from all over the country as well as teams from the University of Texas, Texas A&M, University of Oklahoma, LSU, Texas State, SMU, TCU, North Texas, Louisiana Texh, University of New Mexico, New Mexico State, and Others are expected to compete. Besides the competition on the water, the tournament wil "keep it weird" in the best of Austin traditions with nightly concerts, celebrity competitions, pro-exhibitions, "flips for kids" Charity event, food, drink, silent auctions and a one-of-a-kind pro v. college all-star wakeskate skeeball competition. All net proceeds from this event will go to the Austin Children's Shelter (We are a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization), a unique local charity whose mission is to provide high wuality emergency care and shelter to the abused, abandoned and neglected children of our community.

As this event is in its first year, we are doing our best to make sure that this event runs smoothly and is fun and safe for all participants and spectators. It is our hope that we will be successful enough to separate the cable nationals and from the Texas Invitational next year - with both events having their own coverage. The cable event would remain at TSR (with regional qualifiers in September at all of the other cable parks in the country) and the Texas Invitational will move to Austin's Auditorium Shores where it can be one of the largest alternative sport events of its kind in the country. Our Advisory Board, including Matt Wilson of the Austin Sports Commission, Blake Hess of Texas Ski Ranch, Billy Garcia of Freeride Wakeboard School, Greg Lawrence of Lake Lessons and Kristen Feeley of Feeley Creative Designs are all working with us to make this dream a reality. We also have a slew of volunteers from Anderson High School IB Students, members of the Texas Wake Club, and local wakeboard enthusiasts. We hope you'll join us in making this the preeminent wakeboard event(s) in the country.

For a better understanding of all of the things we have planned, please contact me. I hope we can do great things together.

Sincerely,

Witt Finley

Event Director
